Preparing the Surface
All surfaces must be clean or new, and debris free. Always test product in an inconspicuous area for suitability
Application Instructions
Apply on the timber or wood surfaces in a slow, sweeping motion. If a sprayer is used to apply, spray evenly on the surface. Approximate drying time is 2 hours. After 2 hours, repellency can be checked by dropping small drops of water on the surface. If the surface is dried, water beading should occur on the surface. To remove the dropped water, press down gently with a white paper towel.
Note: One coat is usually sufficient, but on thick or heavily used timber, two coats are recommended for best results. If a second coat is required, follow initial application instructions.
Maintenance
In the case of a spillage, absorb the spilled liquid immediately with a clean cloth or a white paper towel. A sponge along with cold clean water should be used on any residue or a dried liquid. Do not scrub. For a semi- solid or a greasy stain, remove the spilled material as much as possible with a spoon or a blunt knife. Mix warm water with a small amount of mild detergent and sponge the stain gently until it is removed.Any left out residue of detergent should be removed immediately with clean and clear water.
Cleaning Application Equipment
Rinse equipment with turps, followed by a rinse with warm water.
Coverage
1 Liter will be approximately sufficient to cover up an area of 40 sq. metres.
Safety Directions
Highly flammable. Liquid and vapour is harmful or fatal if swallowed. Use in a well-ventilated area. Open any doors and windows available and ventilate the area properly. Use fans if necessary. Extinguish heat sources and keep away from heat, open flames, sparks, oxidizing materials, and from possible ignition sources distant from application site (i.e. pilot lights, cigarettes, etc.) Do not smoke in the area surrounding the application is happening. Do not breathe gas/fumes/vapour/spray. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water after usage.
Storage and Disposal
Protect the container from sunlight and do not expose to temperatures exceeding 50 o C. Do not pierce or burn even when the container is empty. Dispose with garbage or leave at an appropriate metal recycling collection point.
Note: Harsh cleaning methods and high-alkaline or solvent- based cleaners will reduce the life expectancy of the product.
* Repellency can be checked with small drops of water. Water beading should occur when beads of water are dropped onto the surface. Remove water by pressing down gently with white paper towel.
